Avery Dennison NTP is the leading manufacturer of heat transfer labels for sportswear, work-wear and branded clothing.
Our factory in Gaupne, Norway, has been operating for 31 years. Our 130 employees manufacture high-quality labels for transfer onto textiles. Most of our production is sold to the Nordic market, but we also export significant volumes to some of the largest global brands.
We're looking for a HR Supervisor to a permanent position, to meet the strong growth in the coming years. The HR Supervisor will lead the HR department in Norway. The right candidate is familiar with the different HR tasks and motivated by working both as 1st line support and developing best practice. The position will be located at our facility in Norway and report to HR manager Europe.
Work in conjunction with country business unit leader and regional HR leader to facilitate long-term HR initiatives aligned with the local and global strategic agenda
Recommend and implement employee communication strategies, plans, policies and guidelines in accordance with company’s HR Strategies, in order to sustain company’s culture and enhance employees’ engagement
Help the plant and operation leaders to provide employees with development opportunities and ensure that they are able to meet current and future performance standards
Administer all employee related processes including payroll, leaves, employee training, performance appraisals, promotions, hiring, and terminations
Manage specific projects as determined in the annual HR plan and participate in functional and cross-functional initiatives
Improve HR effectiveness and internal customer satisfaction by driving continuous improvement activities
Provide proactive coaching, consultation and direction to management in areas of performance management, training and development, compensation and overall organizational effectiveness
Counsel and advise employees and the leadership team regarding people policies, industrial relations, labor law, regulations, workforce, organization and employee issues
Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource policies
Promote effective communications and employee relations
Act as a Strategic HR Business Partner for country business unit leader and operation leaders
Act as a team role model
Model and promote the Corporation’s Code of Business Ethics and Values.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, major in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred
At least 5 years work experience in HR functions, with experience in manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of employee relations and legal issues
Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management
People-oriented and good customer-focused mindset
Good command of oral and written English
Able to influence and resolve controversial, high-impact human resources issues
Willingness to take on what needs to be done, innovative problem-solver
Strong project management skills
Demonstrated experience in coordinating, planning and deploying HR programs and initiatives;
Practical knowledge in common computer software.
